Delhi Team Shines with 11 Medals at the 35th National Strengthlifting Championship 2025, Sikkim

The Delhi Strengthlifting Team delivered an outstanding performance at the 35th National Strengthlifting and Incline Bench Press Championship 2025, held from 09 to 13 November 2025 at Paljor Stadium, Gangtok, Sikkim. A total of 18 athletes represented Delhi, showcasing remarkable strength, discipline, and sportsmanship.

The Delhi team brought pride to the state by winning 11 medals across various categories. In addition to medals, the team also received the prestigious Best Dressed Team Award, adding to their glory at the national platform.

The President of the Delhi Strengthlifting Association Ravinder Gupta congratulated all team members and officials, stating, “This is a remarkable achievement. We are extremely proud of our athletes for their dedication and exceptional performance.”

Team Manager and General Secretary, Mr. Laxman Singh Bhandari, expressed immense pride in the athletes and said, “The competition was very tough, yet our athletes performed their best and secured 11 medals. This shows the strength and commitment of our team.”

He further announced that the next National Championship will be held in Surat, Gujarat in November 2026, while the World Strengthlifting Championship 2026 and the Nomad Games will take place in Kyrgyzstan, with dates to be announced soon. He emphasized the need for athletes to begin their training immediately for upcoming events.
