JEE Main 2026 Session 1: City Intimation Slip Released, How to Download

JEE Main 2026 Session 1: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the city intimation slips for the JEE Main 2026 examination on its official website. Candidates who have registered for the exam can check and download their city intimation slips using their login credentials. The slips are hosted on https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/.

The slip provides advance information about the city where the JEE Main examination center will be located. The NTA has also clarified that this is not the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 admit card, which will be released soon.

The JEE Main Session 1 exam is scheduled to be held between January 21-30, 2026. Paper 1 for BE/BTech will be conducted on January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28. Paper 2A for BArch, Paper 2B for BPlanning, and Paper 2A and 2B (BArch and B Planning) will be conducted on January 29, 2026. The results for the first session of JEE Main will be declared by February 12, 2026.

JEE Main Session 2 is scheduled for April 1-10, 2026. The results for Session 2 will be declared by April 20, 2026. Registration for JEE Main Session 2 will be held between April 2-9, 2026. Details will be released by the NTA.

Candidates who qualify in JEE Main will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced 2026 is scheduled to be held on May 17th in two shifts – from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Paper 1) and from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM (Paper 2). The registration process for this exam will begin on April 23, 2026.

JEE Main is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the NTA for students seeking admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture courses in India. It is used for admissions to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and many other engineering colleges, and also serves as a qualifying examination for JEE Advanced, which is required for admission to the IITs.

The exam primarily tests students in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and is usually conducted twice a year online, giving students an opportunity to improve their scores.
