New Digital Initiative to Protect Women from Cervical Cancer

Digital Vaccination Service Launched Nationwide from October 1st; Lower Cost, More Protection: A New Initiative for Women

Mumbai: A new digital initiative is now underway in India to protect women from cervical cancer. Serum Institute of India, the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer, and Vidal Health (part of Bajaj Finserv) have partnered in this direction.

This digital platform will be available nationwide from October 1st, 2025. Female patients will receive all HPV vaccine-related services online in a paperless and completely cashless manner.

On the platform, appointment booking, consent form filling, and vaccination certificate receipt will all be digital. Additionally, vaccine dose schedules will be sent to patients through reminders, helping to maintain treatment continuity.

Bajaj Finserv Chairman Sanjiv Bajaj says this initiative will strengthen preventive healthcare services and make people more aware and responsible about their health.

Serum Institute CEO Adar Poonawalla emphasized that the HPV vaccine is an important means of protection against cervical cancer. However, easy availability and awareness are essential for its widespread impact. This is the primary objective of this digital initiative. Vidal Health Executive Director Neetha Uttaiya said this initiative will reduce the need for hospitalization and high medical expenses.
