Iran-US Conflict: World War 3 Begins? Tensions Rise in Middle East

Iran-US Conflict: Iran-Israel Conflict – In the fifth phase of Operation True Promise 4 in the Indian Ocean, an MSP ship carrying ammunition for US ships was attacked by four drones off Jebel Ali Anchorage, causing damage and explosions that rendered it completely useless.

According to a post by the Indian Embassy in Iran, Iranian officials also claimed that an MST-class combat support ship carrying fuel for US ships in the Indian Ocean was struck by Iranian Qadr-380 missiles.

Iran has launched a new wave of attacks targeting bases in Israel and the United States. These attacks come after the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The statement further alleged that a US Navy base in Kuwait’s Abdullah Mubarak area was targeted with four ballistic missiles and 12 drones, destroying infrastructure and causing a large number of US servicemen to be killed and injured. The IRGC Navy stated that it would continue the operation in coordination with the Air Force and “open the gates of hell for enemy units.”

Following Khamenei’s death, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a stern warning against Israel and the United States. The force vowed to carry out what it described as “the most dangerous attack operation in history.”

Khamenei’s death
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that the fifth wave of Operation True Promise targeted US military logistics and infrastructure across the region.

According to the group, a ship carrying ammunition for US forces was attacked by four drones at the Jebel Ali anchorage, leaving the ship “completely damaged and causing damage and explosions.” The IRGC further claimed that four ballistic missiles and 12 drones attacked a US naval base in Kuwait’s Abdullah Mubarak area, destroying infrastructure and killing a large number of US soldiers.

The IRGC also alleged that an MST-class combat support ship carrying fuel for US ships in the Indian Ocean was attacked by Iranian Qadr-380 missiles. In its statement, the force warned of continued escalation, saying, “The IRGC Navy, in collaboration with the Air Force, will keep the gates of hell open for enemy units.”

Regional tensions spread
It is reported that Iranian attacks have also impacted civilian and commercial infrastructure. Dubai International Airport—one of the world’s busiest aviation hubs—was closed following attacks linked to ongoing hostilities, while earlier attacks were reported near the Palm Jumeirah and the luxury Burj Al Arab hotel.

These incidents come amid rising regional tensions following US-Israeli military operations against Iran, which prompted Tehran and its allied groups to launch retaliatory attacks on military bases across West Asia. On Sunday, news broke that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, had died in his office on Saturday morning.

In Israel, red alert sirens sounded in the Negev and Dead Sea regions on Sunday as air defenses responded to incoming projectiles. According to Al Arabiya, continuous explosions were heard in Tel Aviv, reportedly caused by Israeli interceptor missiles targeting Iranian launches.

The IRGC later said it had targeted 27 US military bases across West Asia, saying, “We targeted 27 US bases in the region.”
