Eligibility and Benefits
Who can apply: Women and transgender residents of Delhi are eligible.

Usage: It can be used for free travel on Delhi government buses (DTC and cluster buses) and will soon be available on the Metro as well.

The Pink Ticket program, under which women can travel free on DTC buses, was launched on Bhaiya Dooj in 2019. Plans are underway to replace tickets with digital cards. A Delhi government official stated that plans are underway to launch it on Bhaiya Dooj.

With the Pink Card’s lifetime validity, women will have greater freedom to use public transport whenever they wish. Before use, the card must be activated using the DTC’s Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS). DTC will not issue cards directly.

All online registrations will be made through the DTC portal, and cards will not be issued until the selected bank completes KYC verification. This new initiative will allow women passengers to travel freely and conveniently on Delhi government buses, replacing the previous paper-based ticketing system with a permanent, customized transit pass. To obtain a smart card, applicants must be legal residents of Delhi.
