New Delhi/Mumbai: The upcoming film “Hai Zindagi” has now reached the doors of the judiciary. A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Delhi High Court seeking to make the rape provision (BNS Section 63) gender-neutral. The petition, listed on October 29, 2025, has been clubbed with an earlier case, W.P. (CRL) 3274/2025, in which the Union of India has already been issued a notice regarding the rights of transgender individuals.
Set to release on November 14, 2025, “Hai Zindagi” highlights the same social and legal issues. Produced by Sunil Kumar Agarwal and directed by Ajay Ram, the film portrays how men, too, can be victims of sexual assault, yet lack specific legal protection under current laws. The film conveys a powerful message advocating for gender-neutral justice in contemporary society.
The film stars Gaurav Singh, Garima Singh, Ayushi Tiwari, Somi Shri, Deepanshi, and Rishabh Sharma, and was shot in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
