US news: Sai Surya Avinash Gadde, a 24-year-old student from Telangana, India, tragically lost his life in a drowning accident at Barberville Falls in Albany, New York.

Gaddey, a student at Trine University, had been visiting this popular tourist spot in the US at the time of the incident. His body was found on July 7, just a month before his 25th birthday.

The Indian Embassy in the US has confirmed this news and extended their condolences to Avinash’s family and friends.

Earlier today, the Indian Embassy in New York expressed their deep sorrow over the tragic passing of Shri Sai Surya Avinash Gadde, a student at Trine University, who drowned at Barberville Falls in Albany, NY on July 7.

During this challenging period, they also conveyed their condolences and prayers to his family.

The embassy is extending necessary support, including issuing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the repatriation of Sai Surya Avinash Gadde’s remains to India.

Local media quoted a statement from the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office as saying that “two people swimming got into trouble”, following which several teams came for rescue.

“According to the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office, one of the drowning people was rescued by a Samaritan, but Avinash’s body was found lifeless. At the scene, the state diving team was one of the teams. Local authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident,” it said.

Notably, three Indian students are reported dead in the US after a horrific car accident in Alpharetta, Georgia.
