Uttar Pradesh leads the nation in compressed biogas production: Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari expressed confidence that, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh will set new benchmarks in CBG production and additional energy sectors.

New Delhi / Lucknow: On Monday, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari praised the Yogi government for Uttar Pradesh’s achievement of becoming the leading state in compressed biogas (CBG) production.

He expressed confidence that, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh will set new benchmarks in CBG production and additional energy sectors.

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari arrived on Monday to inaugurate the India Bio Energy and Tech Expo-2024 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Center in Dwarka, Delhi. During the event, he also visited the stall of the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA).

Following the inauguration, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari visited the UPNEDA stall, where he was welcomed by Principal Secretary, of Energy and Additional Energy, Narendra Bhushan.

Upon learning that Uttar Pradesh ranks first in India for compressed biogas production, Gadkari was notably impressed and praised the efforts of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and UPNEDA.

He also praised the UPNEDA stall and the advancements in compressed biogas production and bio-energy showcased there. Besides, Nitin Gadkari contacted Mahindra Motors and also suggested policy formulation for CNG-based tractors.

Principal Secretary, of Energy and Additional Energy, Narendra Bhushan briefed the bio-energy developers from India and around the world about the Uttar Pradesh Bio-Energy Policy-2022, highlighting its features and incentives. He also showcased Uttar Pradesh’s achievements in the bio-energy sector and encouraged entrepreneurs to invest further in the state.
